As with most things in tech, people projects are also ephemeral. so you get to fork and fix stuff in your fork. So you end up having to fix submodule links. and this is were we are at..

  1. you do you fork so you nee to update the submodule
  2. remove the previous one and add your own
  3. navigate to the correct path you linked the submodule and git fetch
  4. go back and commit with git add ....
